I have this same blasted problem with my brakes.
I bought new bushings and fitted to the pin...but it just would not go into the bracket. It slides out of the groove in the pin and goes up along the pin and stretches...
Please tell me how you guys overcame this madness...

but he did not show how to get that damn sliding pin with the bush into the bracket... :evil:

The slider is either warped or something is blocking it

use red rubber grease exactly what it's called can coat rubber without it damaging it like copper grease does over time
once you covered it and the carrier hole it should then just slide in with a wee tap

Yeh guys...I went and bought the tub of red grease as they dont sell it in tubes...so now i have grease for my great grand-children...
Will pick at it this weekend and let you know what happened...
