Howdy from malaysia

Postby dr_brutallica » Wed Jun 10, 2015 7:08 am

Hello guys,
I used to owned an IS300 back when I was studying in the US. Now I'm done with my study and back in Malaysia, I really miss the balanced FR handling. Thus, I bought a 1999 6-spd manual Altezza (JDM) yesterday. Everything is stock except the rims, exhaust and lowered spring. It's a sweet ride. Hope to learn a lot from this forum. thanks

By getting it to stock I meant the suspension and probably the exhaust. The exhaust is fujitsubo that I think it sounds great when accelerate, but probably not very good for my child's hearing.
BTW, I was wondering if it is normal for the exhaust to have strong fuel smell? It is as if the car is running rich. I was wondering if the O2 sensor is broken or something, but I didn't get any check engine lights. The fuel consumption is OK if I drive it like a civilized driver. But once I hammer it down, I could notice the gas needle drop fast.

Does anybody here have a picture of location of the oxygen sensor plug? I read it is located at the passenger side kick panel, but I failed to find it.
