Hi all what are the signs of a failing power steering pump first symptoms

When you turn the steering lock to lock you will here a whine/screech noise out of it.

first sign before the screeching ian is that your power steering oil is swirling around the resevoir instead of sitting there. your powersteering pump will last a good while this way until it starts screeching. you would be best to change it when it starts screeching badly as it will start affecting your rack then.
