welcome! I live in Groningen myself.. seen one champagne Tezz over here and there are 2 on lexusforum.nl, one blue and one grey.. I want to import one myself but don't have all the money saved yet. I would say, go to Ireland and get one there as IMO there is more to choose from there.. The UK has some too but they are more expensive too...

Hello from Amsterdam - Now Altezza owner

Postby j2jedi » Sat Nov 19, 2011 10:08 pm

Haha, ok, well...I couldn't wait that long...so finally the decision has been made...
After fishing behind the nets for a few times, and probably one or two not wanting to sell theirs to a foreigner,
earlier this week I went to Kilrush, Ireland to buy me a nice Altezza RS200 :D

It's a silver 1999 manual with 141k on the odometer, still in pretty much standard setup, apart from some (said) mods.
I know some of them must be in there, due to the feel of the clutch pedal and kloinks and boinks when shifting in some of the gears
If you look closely, you just might see the weathered TezzaWorld sticker over the 3rd break light.
For this moment I will fix up some found problems on the car, to get it technically tested and re-register it to dutch license.

A few pics of my new ride:

Maybe on some shows? There are stickers on there with the following texts: TezzaWorld.com (1), After Dark Cruizers.com (quite a few), JapCar.ie, Apple logo + "iDrift", inside above middle console: TRD metalplate sticker, Windshield banner: TRD. She comes from Kilrush, Co.Clare.

Aight, poTTa...how are you doing on parts over there? Come from Suriname myself and I know everything has to be flown in.

Had the 1st checkup yesterday and need parts already, to get her ready for the APK road test over here (APK=MOT=NCT). Need 1 upperarm with balljoint in the leftrear and possibly some new (uncut) springs in the back :| . Of course some headlights for righthand traffic, 4 new tires, brake pads all around, exhaust gasket mid-pipe with 1 sprung bolt, 1 fog taillight, as there isn't one :?: . After that I will service her with timingbelt, etc.
Want to get her registered a.s.a.p! 8)

I could have seen it in Ennis or Limerick then at some stage passing by, I have a tendency to note cars that pass by espically ones I like!

welcome along. iv seen this car around but cant say i know much about its state. you have a bit of a list to do. those fog lights ruin the rear of the car so thats a pity. they are optional here. amsterdam rules 8)

to get parts here is a bitch...
to buy them locally is a bitch...
but it is cheaper....sigh....

the only way out is to fly out and bring them in yourself and not get caught by customs...
cuz then they'll want a "nice thick brown envelope"

Good luck with your APK...
