just checking are 235/45/17's too wide for a standard alloy

Depends ... older rims are 7" whereas newer ones seem to be 7.5J , whats yours?... 235 is an odd size though? are they cheaper... :?

I had 245 on the rears on a 8" rim and 225 on the fronts and it wasn't noticeable ... alloys were off an IS250 and that was the original Lexus setup :wink:

sorry it would be on a 00 IS200
going cheap at work they cant sell them and want rid of them

Should just squeeze on, wont be pretty but will fit according to http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp You'll have to do all 4 though or it could cause issues with the ABS due to them being 2.8% bigger than 215/45
