I have heard of th epower steering pump been swapped with a nissan one, BUT there is a nice bit of fab work to be done for brackets. .I think I have seen some one over on DTDirl had it done ages ago. .

As you said your into diffing, why get it the pump fixed it will only happen again. .

A mate had a whine from his for about a year before it completely went, its very very hard to drive when they pack it in, he said he could only drive it as far as the garage.

try some Dot 4 brake fluid mixed with ur steering fluid......

it works.......but u have to flush it after say a few hundred kilometres

UR DOING IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

It worked for my auto-transmission in my old corolla.......it was slipping like a b****.....so i toss about 4 ounces of brake fluid into the transmission and it fixed the problem immediately!!!........honestly!...........so far the new owner made no complaints...

Brake fluid is a good sealant and it's also a hydraulic fluid......so if uve got worn seals in the pump/steering rack or both it wud seal those areas

I have just bought a yaris power steering pump, what were the modifications you had to make for it to fit.
Just a good hammering or something more technical?
