Remove glue from paintwork

Postby Dan » Thu May 31, 2007 1:02 pm

I somehow managed to nearly glue my fingers together and split some loctite glue on the paintwork! i wiped most of it off before it dryed put still some on it. Whats the best way to get rid of it without damaging the paint too much?

yikes... by it's nature glues dissolve contact areas to get a grip...

Hopefully it's just on the lacquer and not penetrated to the paint... is it just spots or a runny mess?

Now i didn't tell you to do this... but Acetone will dissolve superglue...

Think it's the main ingredient in nail varnish remover...

White spirits/thinners will prob do too but not too much and give it a good wipe after to get it all off
