Hey lads said ive been on here a while lurking and checking out other ppls cars so bout time i put up some pics of my own. Its a 2001 rs200 z edition ive had it since about this time last year and its been great so far ive been slowly upgrading and changing the car as i go along my goal is to have something i can take to a drift day skid and still drive to work and back every day. The budget is tight at times as im only working in a graduate program atm and the money sucks but spare money goes into the car and i do all the work myself. I got it basically stock apart from tein coil overs which were goosed so they were first to go.
Currently the spec is, Decat custom shotgun pipes, dyaniama coil overs love em, 17x9.5 and 17x8 3 pice hinodex stern wheels, Japspeed alu rad for is200, RSR exhaust manifold heat wrapped, Toda light weight flywheel, Exedy stage 2 paddle clutch, Omp boss cheapo deep dish wheel,

Its just elegance (I think that's what u call em) rear lip and skirts everyone in ireland seems to call them trd with a greddy rep front lip, I just fitted the clutch and flywheel yesterday the flywheel has freed up the revs a lot u can notice espichally when shifting up and down on a back road or bliping the throttle when down shifting, I didn't think it would but when u see it compared to the dmf its no hard to see why the dmf weights a ton in comparison, I went for the paddle clutch stage 2 exedy as it was only a small bit dearer than stage 1 and as I was changing I said i might aswell but its quite sharp and juddery at slow speed but the bite is crazy u can drop the clutch in 2nd and it just smokes them up no slip atal it rattles a bit at idle aswell but I hear that's normal enough for a uprated clutch. A least I hope so as everything is new in there spigot bearing bolts and all, I'll report back once I've put some milage on it
After driving to work today mix of motorway and back roads if anyone is on the fence about a light flywheel do it at once makes a great difference to the pick up I'm delighted with it, the flywheel is a toda one , yeah the dual mass was crazy heavy wish ide got rid of it ages ago
When I had the lightened flywheel off the car i weighed it and compared to the original dual mass flywheel that the previous owner gave me with the sale. Can't remember the exact numbers but I think the standard one was around 13 to 14kg!!! The lightened one was about half this if I remember right! Cant comment on the difference as Ive never driven it with the OE flywheel but the lightened one seems to work well and acceleration is smooth
