Sold my Ganadors

Image

Image

A little back story... Was looking for a body kit for a long time when I came across a TRD Neo v1 in Japan. I bought it along with some other parts and had them put on a shipping container. Came across the Modellista kit while I was waiting on the TRD kit so I bought it also. lol

Picked up the following:

TRD Neo V1 front bumper complete with fog lights
Altezza Mesh grille
OEM Side skirts
JDM rear bumper with Neo rear lip
Chrome JDM head lights
Cloth rear seats and head rests
Door panels with cloth inserts
(Forgot to get a cloth armrest :pissed:)

And a Navan S14 front bumper for my friend

Bought "new" Ganadors that were painted white. Not a perfect match but still good.

Started taking apart my wheels to refinish.

Idea of what my FRONT wheels will look like.
18x10 +29 HI disk face to clear BBK.
Face isn't set all the way into the barrel, so it'll sit another 1/4" or so lower.

Found it!

They didn't get along with my wheels/tires so I only put them on for a test fit.

Once my wheels are done I should have more stretch up front that will give me the clearance I need. So they are just sitting in my garage until the wheels are done.

I actually found a guy in Japan through a friend of mine who was working with some shops in the US to bring shipping containers over. He found a full Legana (what we call TRD Neo in the states) equipped car in a junk yard in Japan so I bought as much as I could off of it lol.

Thank you!

I also bought a Cusco rear strut tower bar last week, should be here this week.

Other than that, mods will be on hold until I can sell the TRD kit :( I have a lot of money tied up between it and the Modellista kit lol.

Kinda sat the emblem on to see the awesomeness. Didn't leave it on though, I'll mount it later.

Picked up a Cusco rear strut tower bar for cheap... Quick picture after getting it fit in. Was fun sitting in the trunk trimming the liners to fit

I'll most likely pull it back out to be powder coated.

Image

Still looking for Carbing or HKS rear strut tower bar though. I'd prefer those pieces lol.
And Carbing front strut tower bar.

Also managed to find a black cloth arm rest piece. So that's on the way. Completes the cloth interior setup with the exception of front seats. They will be the easiest to acquire though. They will come later.

#2 lower control arm bushings will be ordered (possibly tonight). Need to find some spare arms to powder coat and press the bushings in so my car isn't down for a long time.

May sell some stuff this weekend. If so I'll be picking up the rest of the stuff for the front suspension so I can get everything installed and get a fresh alignment.

Managed to find a black cloth arm rest cushion. I wasn't sure if I would be able to find one, or if Toyota/Lexus even made them. Got lucky, grabbed it cheap.

I now have everything I need for a complete black cloth interior besides front seats. Later I'll pick up a fixed back driver and reclineable passenger seat. Then I can put a cage in and everything will match.

Image

Rey is THE man. He has helped me on more than one occasion and I can't thank him enough! Now to get these bushings out, powder coat, and press Figs bushings in.

Image

Figs has also been a big help for me. Thought I'd support him some more so I grabbed a couple shirts, Poly steering rack bushings, and Poly #2 LCA bushings.

Image

So I know I've seen this before, but hadn't really thought about it until now. I kinda really want an OEM push button start. Everything I have seen says that it is NOT TRD, but actually just an OEM option. I know Chado has it but that's the only one I've seen. I've let a couple people know I'm looking for one so if anyone has any leads let me know.

And yes, I am aware there is one on eBay. It's missing a harness and the backing was broken in half and glued back together. No thanks, the original setup is plug and play.

Image

Still haven't sold my kit, which means no progress on my wheels :pissed: I did pick up a pair of used tires for $20 that should last a couple months. Still need tie rods but I'll get them eventually.

Finally got the bushings out of the stock LCA's I bought from Rey. Dropped them off to be powder coated earlier today.

Got new wheel parts! Upgraded to m7 hardware (nuts and chrome bolts) and bought some new valve stems.

Uras super tie rods for JZX110. Gotta get some new jam nuts for the tie rods ends before I can install.

Been wanting a Vertex wheel and found this one. The "Vertex" is clearly worn pretty bad, but otherwise it's in great shape. Gonna see what I can do about it. I may run it anyway. I love how it feels. It's a rare model from what I've seen since it has no stars.

More pictures of the caster arms with bushings and steering rack bushings. I just like getting them out and looking at them.

And FINALLY got my 18x4.5" chrome lips from Wheel Flip. Look GREAT.

Shipped my faces off for powder coat today. Should be back in 2-3 weeks.

No pics of the cut inner barrels yet. Haven't had a chance to clean up the welds yet. May have some Monday or something.
