New updates. Today we fitted the upgrade parts. First we fitted the 375cc injectors, relocated the steering wheel bottle, installed the water/methanol kit and lastly the 160mm pulley with the 5PK583 belt. I believe this is the correct belt size. It was already too tight before using the cradle belt tensioner. Next step is now to arrange this week to have the car remapped and see what the performance output will be. Driving back home I had the meth kit disengaged (wait until the car is remapped), but up to 4500rpm the boost gauge showed me 8psi! I did not push it further want the engine safe until the upgrade has finished. Happy with the result though. Here are some pictures of today's work.

Ok the big day came. I took the car today to the mapper....and the result? 9.5psi boost and 235whp and 28kg of torque. The AFR when the water/meth kit is working is 11.9-12.4.

I believe now I have the most powerful Lexus IS200 with a TTE SC kit fitted in Europe.

Hi ! May you say me your previous pulley size...?
Then are you sure that you really need these bigger injectors ? Was the duty cycle not enough with the previous 310cc ?? Because for me 240cc for 250hp could be enough...
And finally, do you know the air intake temperature differences between both setup ?

Thank you ;)

Cheers mate

Hi,

the pulley is already sold.

240cc is not enough for 250hp...you are working 100% duty cycle your injectors. google injector calculators and you will get an idea, for example (http://witchhunter.com/injectorcalc1.php)

with 205whp in my last setup i was working 86% the 310cc injectors (as it should be). this is the value we got during mapping on the dyno

now with new injectors I am working around 82% (again value that we got during mapping on the dynomometer)

Good luck with your setup!

Sh**...how did I calculate this...ok so many thanks !

I know why...I used the NA combustion efficiency... Have you got a knock sensor to verify ? Or do you use the EGR or something else ?
I've had enough of this boring French traffic...

Time to give a service to the car. This time I am going to try red-line oils.

Looking at the specs sheets the Redline 10w40 is a lot thicker than the Torco 10w40 you had been previously using. Be interesting to see if you notice the difference. Both good oils in their own right. Should try some Motul 300V next time round

What with the bottle of snake oil? (motorkote)

Hi, yes I will let you know if this oil is better than the others. I have been using Motul 300V for over 2 years. They are very good oils but i found out that they do not have detergents and they leave impurities in the engine after flushing. So this is the reason i stopped using them.

Motorkote is a synthetic lubricant that molecularly coats all metal surfaces, not just engines to help reduce friction and heat in many different applications. Increases the life of your engine!

Who ever told you that about 300V doesn't know what they're talking about. It has magnesium & boron in it which are both detergent/dispersants.

The person-persons who told me this information were well known informed!!! I am talking about the Motul 300v chrono oil http://www.motul.com/gr/en/products/626 and if you read you will see what it wirtes. do also some google search and you will see motul 300v chrono lack the amount of detergents other competative oils have!

So please do not tell that I do not know what I am doing with my car!
