Planning on doin mine fairly soon. Just wondering was it a 24mm or 17mm nut that you had to open and where are they located on the box? Be my first time doing it...

They are both - Fill & Drain plugs - 24mm or (15/16)"

I changed the Fill plug on mine to a 17mm cuz i dint like d idea and dint have a spanner that size...

I left the drain plug as is because it has a magnet in it to catch all the fine metal stuff...

What i dont like about the OEM plugs is that the bolt "head" is too thin like 3mm...

http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_J_2004_TOYOTA_ALTEZZA_SXE10-AEFVF_3302.html

For my Tezz the plugs are 33101A and 33104 in the above link...

As for the reverse gear trouble...I've found that if i park on an incline on mornings it would be sticky but once everything is warm it runs smoothly...
My trans. did behave "sticky" at first after the oil change but after a while it became as smooth as silk...
I don't have any gearbox problems though maybe someone else could comment...

Does it go in to gear ok when engine not running. I assume it is a manual?
Could be that you're clutch is worn as reverse is usually the first gear that baulks up and won't go in because it's not got a sychro like the rest of the gears.

Also if it's not going in try these two things either;

Let your foot off the clutch then back on again and try go into reverse again.

or

Go into first with your foot still in the clutch then go back across to reverse and try.

Have had two different cars where those were little tricks I had to learn to get it into reverse, so worth a try anyway :D
