Hi, dont know if I am in the right section & I know the question was probably asked a thousand times. Should I be using a octane mixture in my petrol????

no the car should run fine on normal . it wont be as powerfull closer to 200 bhp mark .
if ive helped you in anyway vote for carlow to be the first tezzaworld drinking session

No it just would run better ie more power on unleaded 100, Maxol are bringing out unleaded 99 soon, you should use that. Still if, your worried in the mean time keep using the octane booster if you can afford it!

no you'll be safe enought on the 95ron. wont be doing any long term damage either. the altezza's are equipped with a knock sensor, this adjusts the fueling accordingly.

I am not using anything in it at the moment just one off the lads said it too me a work he has an focus rs so we are going on half for a box of octane. I am a country gal there is no maxol station close to me. So i will have to do with the octane for the moment. Thanks

My car runs a lot better on Shell V-Power..was using the ordinary stuff, then filled up with V-P.. flat spot at 1100rpm gone, idle smooth, drove grand.. Went back to the ordinary petrol on the next fill just to see if I was imagining things, and the flat spot came back..Shell slightly dearer but worth it I'd say :wink:

yeah, have to say i do notice the v power against the normal,will be intersting to see what the E5 is like in comparison as well,i think ill end up going down the same road as dan as i think petrol prices are set to increase further this year.
