Changing timing belt

Postby lex looter » Wed Oct 07, 2009 6:56 pm

Lads im changing the timing belt and need a little info if any of you can help?. I bought a genuine belt but with 150,000km i would think that tensioner and idler as well as water pump would need doing too, would this be correct or could i do without changing these, any car i ve had before i just changed the belt, any opinions wold be appreciated, personally i think they would, would this be right at this milage?.

I thought everything was meant to be changed at 100,000km.

Has the belt been replaced before

DO EVERYTHING, them rollers are only bearings, they can collapes causing major money. The new belt will put pressure on old tensioner and rollers.
