Difficut reving under 2200 rpm

Postby cocofredo » Sun Sep 20, 2015 8:07 pm

Hi to all
We made a transplant with a friend of a 3sge blacktop into a european spec 300is .
Car is running well but under 2200 rpm , if you fully press the accel pedal , engine is harsh and doesn't rev.
If you gently depress the pedal it's OK.
After that engine is running well until red zone ...

Any ideas ?

PS: we use a blitz intake as the standard airbox doesn't fit (abs device interfers)

Thanks for help
Fred

Have you got the MAF sensor still in the system? If that's not in there or in the wrong place then it will run awful.

Thanks. Yes MAF is on the car. Actually everything is stock apart the blitz intake .
Maybe we have a problem with the throttle (fully controlled by the cable) and the throttle lotor which is still active ...

Think you may have answered your own question there! The Altezza is fly-by-wire as such and the throttle cabel is only a backup in case the system fails. Pulling fully on the throttle cable will only give you a half open throttle butterfly on an Altezza.

Thanks :-) it was just an idea but as you say It could be a major problem since the throttle motor is connected .

I'd like to override the fly by wire system . I know there's a kit to do that but it's quite expensive .

Thanks a lot for your help
