Right lads, I've had a recurring emissions problem on the car over the last year or so.
I haven't had the time to get on it but recently I've got on top of the problem.
I've put a new Catalytic Converter, a new Lambda sensor and a new Air Flow Meter in the car.
The emissions have come right down to the lower end of the scale and once the car is warm they are good.
Lambda reading is good, HC reading is good but the Co readings are the problem.
Low idle limits are .50 vol % and are around .01-.05 so they are fine.
Hidh idle limits are .30 vol % and sit around .11-.40. Then all of a sudden they will jump to 3.50-4.50 at a steady rpm.
My question is, if I put an ecu from a later model car will it bring the emission down. Currently have a 89661-53070 MT ecu, so I was thinking of trying
All help is appreciated. Thanks.
