The kit should be a complete kit basically consisting of crankshaft, conrods, pistons (& possibly piston rings). The reason for the bigger pistons is basically if u had more wear to the engine u'd bore out the chambers to the bigger size. You get some people thinking that it's to increase the capacity of the engine (which it does) but to be honest it's pretty negligible...
Would be good to this if you were planning on uprating your internals anyway
Hope this help

TODA also do the 2.2 stroker kits

Jun also do a 2.2 stroker kit... for any of these your talkin about 4,000 euro dats just for the kit and not the work or your engine to be bored,, then you also need a steel after market head gasket which will cost around 200 hundred, there a tuning place down in mullingar called gunt tuning they do the toda kit and will do the work,, to bore the block they gave me a price of 250 and then the labour they coulnt say, head gasket about 200,, the kit was a high compression kit with 87mm pistons..
but i was looking at putting a stroker kit in to my new turbo altezza durin this year which i would then be goin for a low compression kit with 87mm pistons, lower compression higher u can boost on da turbo without mincing ur engine but at 5-6,000 euro its an expensive upgrade

would a 2.2 turbo tezza be pushing out mental power?

Ask Elexes, thats exactly what he's doing at present

well the guy in gunt tuning told me with the turbo and 2.2 stroker kit u should upgrade alot more,, like fuel pump, oil pump, oil cooler kit, injectors, etc. but he said bhp wise u would be talkin 350 or so depends on da stroker kit and da size of the turbo, but remember it would al be goin to da rear wheels, which is quite alot,, at that stage your traction control will do nothin for u
i was also told that the turbo might be usless wit a 2.2 stroker kit if its not big enough which would mean goin for a bigger turbo..[/img]

No that's not true, it will produce slightly less pressure but still pack a punch. You can't run the pressures these turbos are designed for anyway...

i mite just go for the toda pistons and rods because i just want to boost over 1bar i dont think does 200cc's will make a differance.
Posted: Tue Mar 27, 2007 10:21 am
well they almost cost the same theres not much in the price difference .

whens your build finished?will the 2.2 kit be reliable on high boost?
Posted: Tue Mar 27, 2007 11:26 am
there basicly the same pistons . made by the same ppl using the same materials . so id say there shouldnt be any probloms
