Air bleeding (coolant)?

Postby RS Tom-Hundred » Thu Apr 09, 2015 11:38 am

I started filling the coolant up last night and only managed to get about 4 - 4.5 litres in so far. Tried again this morning and still only got a minimal amount more in. I squeezed the hoses a bit to get air out but still not a lot more in and presume I need to run car with the rad cap off to bleed the air out and be ready to top it up with coolant while it does this.

I just wanted to double check something first though:
Is there a separate air bleed valve that I need to open or undo as I fill with coolant prior to running the car up to temperature to clear air that way?

Cheers :)

Jack front up (or park on an incline) run car with radiator cap off and heater on, top up as you go.
