TPS 14% - limp?

Postby j0hann3s » Wed Jul 02, 2014 4:02 pm

I'm able to read-out my 3sge altezza, and found out that the throttle position sensor is at 14% (closed). Is this normal, or does it have to be 0%?. I did adjusted a while back when she was low idling due bad lambda.

And could this be creating limp mode when pressing the accelerator pedal immediately to the bottom, gets the engine a little to stall while trying to rev, going into limp. Not only happens this while driving, but also in neutral/park.

After restarting the car, everything is back normal. Only when I decide to go into race-mode its possible to get into limp :(

I know ect uses tps position... . I'm a little bit worried about it.

I have an error code in memory: P1128- Throttle Control Motor Lock Malfunction
But in limp-mode the throttle motor is disabled, so if that's creating the cel?

it's not feeling i have misfire...

If tps was 0 then the throttle would be fully closed so no air into engine. I think you need a new throttle body sounds like the fly by wire motor is gone. Do u get normal driving on the last part of the throttle? As its partly mechanical

yes, i can get normal to the last part of the trohtlle. And get to 7k rev.

the 14% is normal. Checked with MLcoolj's car. Also seen on other screenshot from a readout somewhere here on the forum.

However, there's a difference with mine and ml's car. The throttle body of me is a lot slower with closing the valve. Ml's reacting much stronger. Just like it needs more tension on the butterfly axxle.

As more seeking for problems, the more it likes that it will be the coils. So we'll see if that helps when I got them.
