Turbo altezza/ manifold

Postby hermit » Fri Feb 14, 2014 11:55 pm

Really thinking on putting a turbo on my tezza and going fully forged with the engine.
I'm not that keen on the greddy kit as the turbo with it is a bit small for what i want.and I already have an e manage ultimate ecu.
I plan on going over the 300 bhp mark so the turbo on the greddy kit will probably run out of puff. I was thinking on a nice custom tubular top mount manifold
Does any one know of any where that could fabricate something like that up for me? Or maybe some one selling just a apexi/greddy turbo manifold on its own.
Cheers

Me and a friend made it, TIG welding is great at making stuff like that; just make sure to use 316 stainless steel. 304 just cannot keep up with the fluctuations in heat as well and ends up cracking really easily. Also ensure to purge the manifold; that one has held up for a year now without a single crack and another one under our belt has been good for 3years+

Well the purpose of the pictures was to show what can be done at home with a bit of welding knowledge and some metal bits.
Anyway I'll be replying to your pm in a few seconds

I'm currently running the greddy turbo kit and would certainly like to upgrade what would be the cost to fabricate and ship such a manifold to maimi? Secondly what size turbos can i use with this manifold?
