Changing auto transmission to a manual

Hey guys im thinking of changing my auto 1998 toyota altezza rs200 to a manual transmission ... Was just wonder how much work would be in this? And also if yous had any advice for me?:) thanks

I thought the tezza came out in 1998 maybe he has a 92 car that he wants to drop a tezza engine in just a thought :roll:

loads of information on it but in my eyes which would be a plan in future at some point would be to get a manual engine etc.. and all engine wiring loom and change the complete lot as people seem to have problems swapping out bit's and pieces, you could actually keep the auto engine and stick a manual head on if you can find one but definatly recommend changing the complete engine wiring loom what ever you do

Don't bother with the head, just change the ECU and put manual downpipe.
The difference is really small for that much work and money.
I've converted mine last year, it's quite simple. Just connect the speed sensor and you will be fine.

Yes.

Only 3 wiring changes needed:
1) Splice wires on auto connector to parking - this is to start the car.
2) Connect speed sensor
3) Connect reverse sersor

Speed sensor is critical, without it stock ECU will be in limp mode.
You can leave twin cat downpipe as well. Only 1 O2 sensor will be working.

Ok sweet thanks heaps! Um do you know what size thread flywheel bolt is needed of a altezza 3sge engine?
