Going to get the ball rolling on my turbo Project!!

Postby Vanter » Thu Aug 01, 2013 12:34 pm

Ok so i'll be on now asking you altezza turbo kings loads of questions as im in the stage of assembling the parts for my turbo build.. My first question is in regards to rods and pistons... Ofcourse im looking at running more than 10pounds of boost so i wanna know if forged pistons and rods made for the 3sgte with the 68mm bore, same as the altezza's would fitted and perform with no problem..
Here are a few examples of what i mean

Rods are fine but small end needs machining slightly if being used with standard altezza pistons. I beleive the pistons will fit but won't be any good for turbo application, not %100 but I think cp can do them tho. If you email nick the site trader he was doing a really good deal on forged rods and altezza specific piston sets, was something like 1400nzd I think which works out a similar proce to the ones in link.
