Just been catching up on a few topics as iv not been on much lately, hope u can go ahead with the conversion and insurance as it will be some beastie when its done 8)

On the insurance side i think i got a fairly good quote... £850 Fully comp, 21yrs old with 2yrs NCB, all mods declared :)

:( no go on the conversion, with me only being insured for 1 year no 1 will touch it!! not with 700hp ne way :cry: not givin up yet though! will see about a mates garage ins.. :?

will do elexes, ecc have the gearbox so was buying that off them, will be keeping brakes and other chassis parts, am still thinking of goin ahead with it anyway but will let you know

Haha, everytime I talk to Andy up in ECC he tries to talk me into doing a 2JZ conversion on the Altezza & tells me about his 6 speed jetrag gearbox he has sitting up there for a Supra lol

Must take a run up there with the new beast need to get them to remap it for me for our crap fuel...

have you tried or heard of a crowd called britton insurance? they're meant to be very good as well

currently insured with britton, 786 fully comp, only prob is the amount of mods that will be on the car when finished, still havn't rang daly's :? too busy @ work, hoping for the best though, will be gettin the engine up to ecc at the end of the next month :wink:

This looks like the right place to ask for advise. I'm looking to buy an altezza/ IS. I test drove an RS200 6MT yesterday. Loved it. Does anyone know if the [size=18]2jz-gte [/size]will mount properly in this car and will it mate to the 6MT box from the beams engine?

lads i think my insurance is cheap compared 2 most of yours 1500 fully comp 19 1 years no claims with quinn only an extra 86 euro for the silyvia
if in doubt dff er out

How do you mean see bout his ins?? Be very careful with that, take it from someone who spent 2 years selling garage insurance seen so many people using trade policies thinking they were covered when they werent

will need to find a getrag box from a supra, cant use standard box cause the 2jz will just eat it!!! also a prop shaft, rear diff, mounts from a gs 300 will work with a bit of machining!! not just a case of will it fit ok!

my ins at the min is 780 fully comp, only when all engine mods r done will be jumping from 150hp to around 600! try n get a quote for that lol...
