just a suggestion but you could apply to the bike to work scheme where you can get a grant from the government towards a bike and they take a small percentage of your tax towards it, my brother did it might be worth looking into you geta grand to put towards a bike so at least your not getting a pile of sugar

Hey Damo

I'm gonna be honest - 100e for a middle of the road is a BIG ask

I've gotten in the habit of buying, repairing and selling bikes to make a bit of extra pocket money and I had a nice Claud Butler San Remo 56cm that I sold for 280e a couple of weeks ago. I saw one in kildare last week for 95e, a trek 1200, but i rang when the ad was only 15mins old and it was gone - I wasn't a bit surprised. If you can stretch to 200e youll pick one up handy enough

If you're willing to put in a bit of effort and time, you can pick up old steel framed bikes for under 100e in poor condition but they do take a good bit of time work. I'm 70% through a rebuild of a 1977 Dawes 10spd (initial cost price 30e, should come in just under 100e) and have a 1975 Carlton 5spd coming next week (50e covered in emulsion paint).

Yeah dude, I was looking around and having no luck, Just dont have the funds to splash out. Have to tax the bike and car this month, service the tezz and put two tyres on the back of it  Flat broke
I willkeep looking wouldnt even mind a hybrid type bike. I need some thing to start with and keep me going and do a bit of training for a few months till I can up grade  Thanks for the advice though I know its a massive ask and I dont have much of a chance of finding one
