The Caltezza Project

Postby caltezza » Fri Nov 04, 2011 1:38 am

Hi all I'm Calvin, 20 from Hull, East Yorkshire, England. Had my Tezza nearly 6 months now, loved every second of it! Spent all my time and money on it so far and these are the results so I think it's about time I got a thread going. Hope you like...

Here is Terry the Tezza when i first picked him up. Completely standard, brilliant :)
Image

SOLD! fresh import :)
Image

First things first, full service, under seal, immobiliser, new Toyota MAP/ MAF sensor, Toyota oil filter and full new Toyota clutch kit
Image

Now I was happy the car was running right time to get some goodies!!! BC Racing BR-Type coilovers
Image

New Shoes! Rays Nismo LM-GT2 i picked up off a Skyline (OEM+ ;) )
Image

As much as i love the original alloys and was certain i wouldn't change them, I really loved the look of these and they ticked all the boxes. Deep dish, 17", 2 piece split, staggered and fatter. I like the fact they are Nismo which i though was a cheeky touch on the Toyota. Debated taking the sticker off but I like it. Nice to change things up now and then.
Image

Wheels fitted without coilovers, plenty of arch gap.
Image

Standerd suspension, untouched camber. Cheeky little tyre stretch to bring the tred just under the arch.
Image

These rims made me find a new love for Autosol.
Image

Terry's nuts where to big for the Nismos so i got some red tuner nuts to match the rim bolts, nice touch.
Image

Quick dabble with Meguiars head light restorer. needs a lot more work. BEFORE
Image

AFTER
Image

More Autosol dabbling and TRD oil cap
Image

Night
Image

Time to fit the BC's, These where awkward to say the least, but worth it.
Image

Out with the old, in with the new
Image

In, featuring Bear the mechanic...well he's not a mechanic but he has a tool box :P
Image

Rest
Image

TRD Strut brace, would be rude not to with his new coilovers
Image

low enough for now, need lower profile tyres and more stretch to prevent major rubbing.
Image

Quick play with the rear camber to help accommodate the phat boys
Image

The Toyota two. Bears Glanza along side Terry
Image

Image

Lil camber
Image

shiny
Image

Image

The official Caltzza brochure :P
Image

Intake upgrade (also took the vacuum tube off to stop the flap sticking up in the air intake)
Image

The new wheels showed a lot of brake so silver Hammerite did a lovely job
Image

Tidy
Image

Nismo caps to compliment
Image

Time for a lighting upgrade BEFORE
Image

AFTER. HID's 6000k, Ice blue xenon main beam, white LED side lights (also in the number plate lights) and rainbow yellow fogs
Image

Home.
Image

Cleaned the arch liners
Image

Camber looking nice
Image

Image

Kleers acid free wheel cleaner, amazing stuff.
Image

Cleaned rear arches
Image

I love the fact the BEAMS engine is Yamaha tuned so i like the rep it
Image

Was playing with photoshop and thik i want to take it in this direction over winter
Image

99% going to do it (if i don't like i can spray it back so i'm really tempted)
Image

Purple battery bar...the start of the the colour transformation. just ordered a purple radiator cooling panel too
Image

And it should look something like this in a few moths hopefully :). Maybe a bit loud but i'm hoping I will look very tasteful. Roll on 2012!
Image

And that pretty much it so far. i'm just desperately searching for some cheap wheels for winter now.

Also here are a few shots of Terry on a shoot, enjoy :D

Looks good. There is another yellow one with purple camo bits under the bonnet, in the London area somewhere.

Nice clean car mate. You need a TRD lip to look smarter.
