My AE86 Twin Cam

Well lads and ladies been a while since I have been posting on this. Been looking for a AE86 for a couple of years, finally had the tezz paid for a few pound saved that I could afford to buy one. As a few on here would know through Facebook I got one.

Been on the hunt for a while looking at importing, dung deal etc but noting that took my fancy. Eventually got a neighbour who had one I had my eye on to part with it before Christmas and the rest is history.

Basically a white Jap shell half done UK/Irish style. The shell is very clean, small bit of rust the arches and the odd dint but very, very good in all the right places considering its a 1986 car.

Anyway me been a fussy as I am and wanting my own bits its going to get a full overhaul in the next few weeks so I said I would start this to keep you posted, might interest some people.

Quick photo of the car I will get more when I finish work.

P.S I still have the tezz to don't worry!!

Cheers lad thanks a lot! Have a good few parts got so far, but it's all money! Been busy working on my mates one too his is just finished so hopefully the panel beater can take it next week or too so the stripping starts in the next few days!

Only downside don't have much funds to buy anything exciting for the tezz, but you cant have it all!

Very cool AE86, doesn't look like 1986 car at all! Fair play

Thanks! Its amazing how good of nick it is in. The rust that is there isn't even that bad but I'm just fussy. Even the interior is remarkably clean for the year.

Such a class car to drive!

Right lads bit of an update car is now completely stripped and going to the panel beaters tonight. No major rust found two more little spots under the scuttle panel but all in all a very solid car.

I will get pictures later of the updates.

Cheers buddy. They would have done a bit to convert to the UK look. The car looks fresh but there was some small dints and some rust and I am fussy hence the respray.
