Hi. Im also very curious what you did to the lsd, to make it have more preload. Just so I understand correctly, you have it locking immediately under power, and she still locked when you lift off, like a 1.5 or 2 way lsd?

REALLYYYYYY nice post!!! Hats off for your built!

One thing that was noticeable about the car that even though it was a 6cyl aut, JUST LIKE MINE, this version has a trac control switch...... wonder if in the AS200 the trac control is always off.....

Mine's an AS200, but has no traction control but has the torsen 1 way diff fitted. Will be selling it, if someone wants to upgrade from the normal open tc diff, once I can source a kazz or cusco 2 way clutch plate lsd

3S-GE will mainly remain stock.(Only intake + exhaust for now)

My friend's S2000 are both LHD/RHD. :)

We have put few shims between gears on the LSD to lock the gears at initial torque.

Part 11 : Completion of 3S-GE equipped IS200!! (for now)

Here are pictures of the grey car after quick wash.
The car needs few details sort out.
Still having power steering issue, where the 3S-GE's power steering pumps out too much pressure that IS200 steering gear box can't take. :(
Anyways power steering does very little on the track, so we will just stick with no power until we find some solution.

The white car will be running the track with stock engine + auto tranny for just race day since the driver is still novice.
After the first race, we will do another conversion on white IS200 too. (I will keep posting on this car too)

Anyways were are some photos now. Enjoy!

Hey, this thread, is definely inspiring me along the way on my trackday tez. Keep her lit!
With regard to the fitting of shims, Ive done this in the past on clutch plate lsd diffs, but Im not sure how you have done this on a torsen lsd, with all the wee gear shafts locked into each other. Have you any pics of the diff after you fitted the shims, so I can understand better what you have done. Sorry for being a pain, but if it works, it sounds like a good upgrade for the poor locking standard torsen 8)

I like to keep the exhaust tip conservative. Don't like the riced-out big exhaust tips.
The car only has two small resonator. It's pretty loud already. ;)

It's hard to explain, but even stock Torsen LSD does have two plates on the middle of the LSD.
You put shims between the plates to create the pressure between gears. This way will create some initial locking torque.
