Mods never ends... :)

Got rid of Kumho V720 since I only used for the race regulation.
It was undersized(215s), so I went back to RE-11A (255/40R17)

Installed SuperPro reinforced differential bushings.
Definitely big improvements over stock.

I did slight over-run from last track day..(duh!!!)
Although engine was running just fine, I have open up the head.
Inspected the head carefully, and found some damages on the valve lifters.
I have changed the all the lifters.
Also milled the head little more to up the compression ratio.

Also installed the extra mirror to get rid of the blind spot.
WorksBell RAPFIX Lock has been installed too since my car no longer has key box.
(The car is driven street time to time...so extra security is always good thing!)

Here is more update.

The front bumper was actually only designed for the race use.
So the FRP was extremely thin which caused the crack on very slight impact.

We reinforced the front lip section and sides, so it is strong enough to drive on the street occasionally. :)

Wow this car has come a long way. Quality build.

Couldn't help but notice the addition of the Motul sticker, I assume you're running 300V? What viscosity do you use? I run 5W30 300V in my daily driver, it's amazing stuff isn't it.

Running either Motul 300V 5W40 or Redline 5W40.

How much different is it than stock in handling characteristic? Has it become tail happy for road use?

The project still amazes me 8)

Dude, I cant believe you have done all that work but your still running the standard crappy exhaust manifold, especially with the cams your using. Some nice gains to be had with a good manifold and some 10kg weigh loss aswell.

I am running modified stock manifold due to interference with steering shaft.
And there is NO WAY you can shave off 10kg just swapping the manifold. (maybe 3-4 kg)

I am planning to keep running stock exhaust manifold simply because it is very well built and its durability.
I have few friends with aftermarket exhaust manifold on 3S-GE, and they are busy every month welding their cracked manifold after every track day.

---- More Updates!------

Finally decided to get rid of A/C+heater, and shave off more weight after last weekend's track day.

Now time to look for the nice trailer and truck. :)

More updates coming soon. ;)

Thanks!
I don't think it affects the handling characteristics much.
It does help slightly on gas-off turn-in.

Ah ok, I understand. Thanks :)

Question about the exhaust manifold:.
Do you know if there is a difference in the inner diameter of the pipes between the aftermarket and OEM?

Stock manifold, support bracket and heat shields weigh over 13kg, my fgk manifold weighs roughly 7kg and the old hks weighs 6.6kg.

Why your friends manifolds cracking ? My FGK never cracked and that's on a supercharged motor running over 400 hp ?

It cracks because we only use it on track. Can't compare to street cars.
There are no aftermarket manifold that can match stock manifold in terms of durability. (and that's why it is heavy.)

Wow such a nice Project there!! I am totally jealous about your roll cages maybe I copy the one or other design feature for my own rollcage..
Did you notice an improvement with the new poly diff- mounts over the old ones? Thinking about getting some as well when I get my new LSD but dont know if they are worth what they are asking for them.

Please keep the updates coming.. would be great if you could post a in car video of a race at some point...
