Best Importers to Ireland?

Postby raffo » Sat Nov 24, 2012 3:01 pm

Ok, so having wrote off my Tez a few months back and driving a Merc C180 since..........needless to say - I Miss My Tez!!
Looking for info on the best/most genuine/straightforward importers into Ireland? Anyone done it themselves? The who with/how to etc
Wanting to take some time and get a car with the spec mine had plus some more and will need to sell the Merc first but want it all to go as smooth as possible with no unwarranted hassle.

Any info or links or names would be much appreciated

Try torque gt in buckfastlie Devon! I used them to import my tezza and have to say it was a first class service with no hassles!

Based in uk, but sure he ships to Europe/Ireland.

Just tell him what your after and your budget and he starts searching the auctions for you.

Don't know if it would work out too expensive though! Worth asking though!

I Imported my car through
Ibcjapan.co.jp. I sent a bank transfer of around 700 euro to them as I was intending of buying a car through the auctions. But in the end I bought it from their stock. So they then used that deposit to set up the shipping for the car. While it was in transit here I sent a bank transfer of the remainder of the cost. While car was on way I used a broker to pay the Dublin dock fees which was a percentage of what I paid for the car. When that was done I then went down to the docks to pick up the car. Ibcjapan send all the necessary documents in the post while car is in transit. Then it's just vrt to pay. If you do go about it pm me as I managed to avoid some of the costs from the docks.

Any questions let me know

why import? It has got to be cheaper to buy in ireland these day.you can go,see the car ask any questions get a genuine history.there would be nothing worst than paying out money then waiting 2 months to find out you got a lemon!

best of luck with it either way
