car more smokey than usual and burning oil

niall turbo altezza is burning oil and more smokey than usually is.. any idea what the problem can be..?? thanks keith

What oil is he using?
How much is it using and how often mileage wish?

Only real reason for burning oil and smoking alot is piston rings

Blue smoke i presume?

Compression test will confirm if it is

my one was burning oil i had to use 10w50

get a compression test done on it,as the lads say could be piston rings

The 3SGE piston rings are near industructable on a stock to mild modded engine (aka non turbo)

What is really common is the PCV valve (aka ventilation valve)

Remove the valve and give it a shake, if you cant hear the bearing shaking around inside, thats your problem.

When the valve fails, it doesnt allow the rocker to breath and pressure inside builds up, and it forces oil to places its not ment to be mainly the intake
