Locating the fuel filter

Postby Tezzy » Wed Dec 31, 2008 2:08 pm

I got a fuel filter for the altezza but im not sure where the fuel filter housing is?

I cracked open the cover for the fuel pump (under the back seat on passenger side) presuming it was in there but Tezzy Senior who was helping me with the balljoints and other few jobs (finally got the new hooter set up too Noel! ) said that he didnt think it would be be in there and didnt want to open the seals on the tank without knowing for sure.

we looked underneath and the only thing we saw was a black plastic box mounted over the diff with pipes going into it to and from the fuel tank. BUT there's no way to get at it as there's no hatch from the boot to access it. The only other alternative is to drop the whole rear axle and subframe (not happening!)

The filter i got is a cartridge type thing about the size of a fist and a kind of half moon shape using the part number on the info page here.

can anyone enlighten me? :(

No prob :) Im thinking of having a go at this myself, is that still the correct part number for fuel filter thats listed in the "Altezza Info"?

I'll buy one and have a go at it when i get time :)
