aftermarket diff question

Postby skuzzy » Mon Dec 08, 2008 6:36 pm

i bought a second hand diff for the tezza cos the standered one wouldnt lock up at all anymore. so put the one i bought in yesterday and i think there is an after market lsd in it cos its noisy when turning at low speeds and locks up very easy. just wondering if there is any one around galway with an after market lsd that i could meet up just to compair with in case its making the wrong noises. if anyone is around and can help give me a shout on 0879000845

If it's a 2-way diff it'll make knocking noises when going around corners and such. 2-ways will lock up a lot easier too from what I'm told. I've a 2-way in mine but I've never driven one with a standard diff in it.

the shims are only a few quid to buy but ya have to strip the diff down to replace them. i have the diff back in my car for a few days and it has castrol b373 oil in it and it working perfect so it mightnt need to have the shims replaced
