Air con cutting in with the heat.....

Postby Evelyn » Mon Dec 01, 2008 9:44 am

I have my heater switch turned on the the window & feet position, but I noticed in the last 2wks, the air was a bit cooler that it should have been, I taught for a min it might have been the thermostat, but I noticed if u turn it right to the window position, the air con light is on automatically, dosent make a difference how many times u turn it back and foward it will still light up the aircon......

I know the air con only works on certain positions, what are they?
I think my switch might be faulty!!!!

Ya it's supposed to come on when you turn it to the window position (it's wrote in the manual) helps to clear the window faster

Ur right Noel the aircon works on all positions, u have to press it, it just automatically selects it when u go from window/feet to window....
In my coupe the aircon only worked on 3 out of 5 positions, dont ask it was standard, dont know why.....
Id say I am looking at a thermostate, to get any kinda medium heat it has to way up to the last, I remember when I first got it I couldnt stick the heat of it.....

Air con is mostly to cool the inside of the car below ambient outside temperature on a hot day (16c is as cool as it goes i think)

Ya I have no problem with the air con, its not as cold as it should be, but I know it needs a re-fill.....

I find when it left to bring air from outside its fine, but if u cut the circulation off it terrible fogs up straight away. Mine is fine since I did the pollen filter...
