ImageGreetings! Welcome to Tezzaworld website, unfortunately you are a few years late to the show as nearly everyone has been and gone, there is still lots of useful archived material to read through, not many active users unfortunately, but that’s the way it goes, hopefully you are not too disappointed...

A normal battery should be reading more than 12V when there's no load on it, some can read as high as 14V. If your battery is reading 12V or less that means that either the battery is on its way out or that there is some kind of load on it even with the ignition off ie. alarm or a short somewhere. If you want to be really sure you could disconnect the battery and then test it to see what it's like with nothing at all connected to it.
