Boot button on key

The boot button on my key does not work but the central locking does :?
does anybody no how to fix this or had the same problem.
is it the boot or the key ?

Just in case :? ....did you press and hold for 3-5 seconds?

You think your bad, I didn't even know it was a boot button till one day I decieded to keep my hand on the thing near the car!!!

Imagine the fright I got!!!! :oops:

Hahaha I'm sorry but i had to say it, did you not read the key and see where it says trunk, next to the button, at least mine does anyway

think he knew the button was there Joe, just didn't realize you had to fold it in for a few seconds! i had the same problem when i first had mine

Did I hear right that the boot open button can be set to actually open the boot so it pops up and not just open the lock? Something to do with weather the bootlid has a spoiler or not...

Yeah mine pops the boot alright, not completely as there's a spoiler on it but it opens bout 1/4 to 1/2 the way, well most of the time anyway

The seals get a bit sticky on the boot from not being opened that often, spray some silicone lube on them and it should sort out the boot popping up for ya
