9.5 wide wheels

Postby hermit » Fri Mar 07, 2014 10:45 pm

I've my eye on a set of rota torque drifts in 18x9.5 as i want to have the concave spokes.
But Will I get them under my arches with out cutting or modifying them if I get the right off set?
they come et12,et30 or et35

no is the simple answer.
you will need to roll your arches and probably re-shape the front arch liner and trim the rear bumper mounting tabs slightly.
and you will need to run a bit of stretch.

Go for 17s, ET35 will fit all round with just arch rolling

17x9.5 et35 rubbed the front suspension upright on my altezza.
it was literally just the paint though so its not too bad.

I'm running 9.5 rears on mine, with a slight roll of the top of the fender, with a heat gun and baseball bat...haha!

Depends how low you go really. But you will need to do something about the lips in any case. Rolling or hammering :D . I run 9j et18 sometimes as my track rims and have no issues what so ever.

My approach has always been...Buy wheels and make them fit. Run a bit of tyre stretch to get a little bit of clearance. Maybe 225/35 or 215/40 on a 9.5j should do the trick ;)

Just as a comparison: 8.75j et20 rear, 8.5j et15 front with 215/35/18 tyres all round with zero rubbing and only a mild arch roll

et12 might be a bit of a push if youre not willing to go and pull the arches, so et30 would fit in without too much trouble.
