ImageGreetings! Welcome to Tezzaworld website, unfortunately you are a few years late to the show as nearly everyone has been and gone, there is still lots of useful archived material to read through, not many active users unfortunately, but that’s the way it goes, hopefully you are not too disappointed...

another sound

Postby chewse » Thu Jan 16, 2014 12:56 pm

I get this slight popping sound from front left wheel area when I go a bump ( like speed bumps)....the shock mount bushing on that side began squeaking a while back but ever since I lubricated it the noise has gone....could this be the same Issue.

There's very little play aloud in them so visual inspection wont tell you much. If in doubt change them. Genuine ones are reasonably priced from Nick the site trader.

your toyota dealer should order the new one for you even if you give them the old number... that is how it works here at least...

Wow they must have been sitting on a shelf collecting dust for quiet some time. Hope you got the cheap then. Personally I would have tracked down the latest part number but I guess thats easier said than done in some places

Well got the balljoints changed and the car now drives like s@3!...this is the worst steering I've ever felt on any vehicle...the balljoints were not as bad as I thought in fact the right side was worse than the left where the sound was coming from and the sound is still there....only thing I notice is that the left no.2 lca had a lot of play when disconnected and the bushing looked like s@3!...im gonna replace the bushing tomorrow hopefully and a basic alignment to see if that helps...dont wanna replace the tires before this issue is resolved ...
