ImageGreetings! Welcome to Tezzaworld website, unfortunately you are a few years late to the show as nearly everyone has been and gone, there is still lots of useful archived material to read through, not many active users unfortunately, but that’s the way it goes, hopefully you are not too disappointed...

Vacuum valve on Airbox - nipple snapped off.

Postby GordonRS200 » Wed May 01, 2013 9:06 pm

Gah! Was removing the airbox from the engine bay, and obviously had to disconnect the vacuum line to the airbox flap. *SNAP*, the nipple to the valve snapped off rather than the hose coming off the end.

Does anyone know if this plastic is gluable? If not, is the valve part of the airbox or can it be sourced seperately?

Annoyed now, I've got a 200 mile drive on Friday...

either glue it back on or get drill hole into where it has snapped and force the rubber pipe into it with some glue or sealant round it.
that valve only reduces intake noise when your driving at low revs so its not the end of the world if its disabled.

Don't worry about it. If it's not connected it just means the flap will be open all the time. You'll get a bit of induction noise at low rpm now. I've had mine disconnected for years.
