standard rear shocks

Well lads being a while since i was last on had some IT trouble, was wondering were to get standard shocks for the rear as mine might be gone, the car is bottoming out very easily on me.any info on this would be good. my car is 00, rs200 altezza. :) 8)

better off buying aftermarket all round. Tein or K-SPORT or something. Cost you about €1000 plus fitting. Dan could fill you in more

is your car running on standard shocks at the moment? haven't got a price for standard shocks yet but can find out if your interested. When is the car bottoming out, when ur in the car on your own or , 3 fat lads in the back?

yea it seem to be on standard shocks, there is toyota wrote on them but im running on tein springs, it bottoms on on both occasions with or without lads in the car. i dont want to put c/overs in yet as im not too sure if im going keep this ill decide after x-mas. would be interested in a price on the standards for the mo if possible

Lowering springs with standard shocks can allow the shocks to bottom out if you don't increase the spring rate. You may find that you need to change to an aftermarket shock, or you can often get your factory shocks shortened to suit.

Priced the standard shocks myself, front ones 110e each and the rear ones 155e each...

I still have the standard shocks and springs. I think the shocks are f*** but you are welcome to the springs think they are ok. Might be worth just changing the springs before you buy the shocks.

Sounds like dampers gone a bit soft... if your selling and you dont want to spend a ball of cash on "Upmarket" shocks then Monroe are what you need..
surely they do is200 :wink:
