Rear hub bushes...

Postby Mr. Tezza » Thu Jun 11, 2009 6:05 pm

Hello,

I'm looking for a set of rear hub bushes, they are the bushes that connect the bottom of the hub assembly to the bottom arm.... they can't be got off toyota as they only sell the hub as a complete unit but i have heard that you can get the bushes on their own...

Please tell me you can get them!

thanks
Joe

done these myself recently. there are 2 bushings in the hub. the smaller one can be got off fensport uk, it's number10 on their list. the bigger one and this is the one i presume u want is i think impossible to get. i tried everywhere and it wasn't listed. i don't think they are sold without the hub which will cost u about €600 for both hubs. if u can do without your car for a day or two get the old ones taken out. get bmw ones, they are slightly bigger so get a engineer to skim them to match the old ones. thats what i done anyway and they are perfect now. the bmw ones were €25 euro each plus €25 to get them skimed. better than the €600 toyota want

Bummer then yes they are only sold with the hub only.

But nothing there to stop anyone pressing/burning out the old bushes and fitting other bushes.

Let me know which model Vectra bushes you guys/gals end up using

Here ya go Joe  Ya vectra bushings will do the trick get them in the motorfactor way cheaper that dealer just ask for rear wishbone bushing for a vectra. You will have to get them skimmed down a wee bit and you a few extra washers either side of the bold but it does the trick
Ur right Lanigan  Vectras from 96-01 Nick

Hi Nick, can you get me #7 in pic 1? i think that's the lower suspension arm oem #48660-53010
I don't fancy changing the whole arm as they cost £120 here in the UK. Thanks
