I don't think there was any IS300 with MT.. Definitely not made by factory manufacture

Didn't do is300 in mt as an option over here, they only did as an option in the states so you won't find one over here, the steering wheel is on the wrong side.

If hey did is300 in m/t over here I probably would have got one instead. Think i'd be happier with the tezz anyway tho.

I'm sure it would drive very differently to an RS200. The 2jz-ge has very different characteristics to the peaky 3s-ge - it makes similar power, but at lower revs and with more torque across the range - it will be much more civilised and less sporty feeling. The 2jz is a lot heavier than the 3s-ge, so that will eat a bit of the acceleration performance, and won't do the handling/balance any good either, as the extra weight is well forward.

I never knew they made a manual IS300, but it will have the w55 gearbox - the RS200 gearbox probably wouldn't like the torque output of the 2jz. They could have used the V160/1 box to make it a 6 speed, but that would have been an expensive option for Toyota, and wouldn't really be any advantage - the wide torque spread of the 2jz only needs 5 gears to be flexible enough.

Yer as far as I know they are 5spd.
Fairly tuneable too.

Remember reading a review on the IS300 in Australia. They said they preferred the handling of the 200 as the 90kg heavier 300 tended to understeer more. Lexus claims a 0-100 km/h time of 8.2 seconds for the 157kW 5AT.

but with couple of mods 2jz can go a long way, i think its much easier to get some extra horses from it without turbo, cause when 3sge is squished to its limits 2jz in is300 is nerfed to be comfortable :D

I wouldn't say so, getting more out of the 2jz-ge NA is going to be just as difficult/expensive as tuning a 3s-ge. The best bang for buck would be a 2jz-gTe swap - 300hp straight away, 400 easily attainable with a few mods.
