Radio reception problem

My car was resprayed and the antenna was taken out and filled in :( I've little to no reception on my radio now and was wondering is there anything I can do other than try remove the filler and put the old one in??

its hard enough to get reception in altezzas even with the aerial , id say you will have to get out the filler, unless you can wire up a new one..

This is very true my reception is awful.

You can try and find an ariel that will stick on one of windows like a lot of modern cars have now. Basically just sits flat on the glass like like you're heated rear screen element. Don't know if they are available or not but worth a look around online.

cant you fit a signal amp somewhere between the aerial & head unit?

look on ebay for rear demister aerial and it should come up with a little box that connects to your rear screen elements and acts as an aerial. it doesn`t work too well when the rear demister is on though.

Found something that should work.. Sticks to the window as a couple of lads said so ill give it a bash.. Cheers lads :D

Have a look to see if they reconnected the power to the aerial when they put it back in its mounting hole after they painted the car?
The aerial has a 12v power supply to it which they may not have connected back up.
