supercharged is200 info

Postby daveo » Tue Mar 26, 2013 8:07 am

rite lads ive decided to supercharge the is200 and went and purchased a nice clean short nosed m62 so no mods required with that. next is to make a mounting bracket (cradle) has anyone got one made before?? . must get my hands on a front mount and then choose which way to ecu it. anybody on here actually supercharge one theirselves rather than buy a ready supercharged car. anyone know of a tuner in ireland that has tuned one already. plan for the car is track so more interested in the torque capabilities rather than the horses. all info much appreciated, thanks.

well a tte kit will cost you 2k sterling. im using an eaton instead and with buying everything separately your looking at about the 6 or 700 mark.

im going to achieve 210 running on standard ecu and injectors. im going to aim for the 250 with uprated injectors , new ecu and lightened flywheel. thats good enough for me to drift and in time ive another engine on the side to re build . that will be getting the full hog. with hardened and tempered internals and ill be aiming for a bit with 300. then again these are only bhp aims ....ill be exchanging as much as i can for torque when final tuning comes along.

well i was going to sr20 mine but the only thing is im a lexus head at heart ( on no 16 now ) and i wouldnt be true to myself having a drift car with a nissan heart!! :) ill have mine standard supercharged for about 600 euros. add about 1500 to that for sr20 conversion!! so cheaper and still lexus plus the sound off the eaton m62 whining is just unreal.

no , i got an m62 ( same as tte) out of a merc. try a merc breakers yard and you might find one. the short nosed one is the one you want and if you end up getting a long nosed type you can purchase a replacement cone easily and convert it handy enough.
