Postby feeler » Fri Oct 19, 2007 6:44 pm

can anyone help me out. is this the same for the altezza and the is200?

i have one gone, and my mate's altezza failed the nct the day for two of them.

my mate's doesnt seem to be as bad as mine. his isn't makin any noise, and mine is makin a very loud noise. your man in the nct place told my mate every other Lexus that came in failed on them.

right wasn't able to take the car to the garage myself today so the brother took it out for me.
the boss wasn't there so one of the young lads had a look at it and told the brother that the part my mate had got was wrong. and told him that all this arm had to be replaced..

so i had a look myself when i got home. this is a bottom end ball joint for a is200.

this is what is at the end of the arm the young lad said had to be replaced. and is a part on its own and is only fix to the end of the arm.

i'm not a mechanic, but its the same part if you ask me. and the boss told me he was 95% sure it was the ball joint when i asked him about it the other day.

Same on both IS200 and altezza
