Uprated ARB's or new Toyo's

Postby Dan » Mon Jul 23, 2007 8:40 pm

So lads trying to get the most out of the handling before i go adding more power, so does anyone know would a set of uprated ARB's of a set of Toyo T1-Rs be a better choice. running on some crappy "ANT tyres" at the moment, im sure this cant be adding towards the handling!! Opinions please!

Well was actually torn between Goodyear Eagle F1's and Toyos T1-R's but have heard better things/ Tests done about the Toyos. and they are only 120 Euro per corner

120 per corner sounds allright, it cost me a lot more for the bf's do would like to see if there's much of a difference between the 2 might try the toyo's next

I had T1-R's and they were fine, but i now have F1's and they're way better, and from Eiretyres only a few euro more... can't see myself buying toyo's again to be honest

think i got them delivered for 512 euro, paid my local garage 60 to fit and balance... :)

Yup and they really worth it.... also they have a higher speed rating than the toyo t1-rs, not that you'd need it :P

Road noise? whats that? never driven with the engine off

i drive a sports car... it's supposed to be LOUD... my Dad said it was like being in an airplane.... and he wasn't talking about velocity....

Honestly didn't notice any difference noise wise.....

btw i can actually hear that mosquito sound (17000 Hz/17 KHz) so not too deaf yet...

Is yours a very posh and peaceful neighbourhood or is it the girlfriend thats complaining? :P ... you seem obsessed lately with making the car quite... you should have bought an IS200, have to open the window to know it the engine was running on them!

Maybe i should have! Just like to have a quiet/fast car 8) . lots of muppets around my way with the noisey type R's/starlets and colts with their ridiculously loud induction kits. Think im getting old Noel! Maybe the sound of a supercharger is really want i want on a sub-conscious level!
