Front strut brace

Postby Dan » Fri Jun 08, 2007 1:50 pm

Anyone have front strut brace fitted to the car? if so is simply a case of taking off both ends, securing them to the top of each coilover, the stick in the centre bar and tighten?? Jack the car up or leave it as is?

I'd jack the car alittle to take the pressure off the suspension springs but if you jack it too much then the top part may fall down when you take off the nuts...

Don't think your supposed to jack up the car because your wheels then camber in when there's no weight on them. Then when you put the strut brace on & lower the car it's stuck cambered out...

Open to correction as always

Some say not tp jack it up at all cause when its sitting on the ground its at a zero point and flexes in when driving so once its on and tightened up should be enough

Just undo the three nuts either side, fit the brace then do them back up.

Go, get on with it you girl :)
