Lowering Springs

Postby 3S-GE » Wed May 16, 2007 1:37 pm

im thinking about lowering the car. can anyone point me in the rite direction and a rough price to buy a set of lowering springs.

thought about coilovers but with our roads the springs would be the best job i think,

Thanks in advance, Eric

You can get Tein S Tech coilovers from Urban Performance for about 290 Euro. Dizz has them fitted to his. He is already thinking of getting coilovers on his. A few people have said they are very bouncy. Cant really comment on coilovers yet since i only have them fitted less than a day, but one thing i can say is the car is glued to the road! You can adjust the dampening on mine to make them softer or harder.

There is a good range of lowering springs available for the altezza and because there the same as the IS200 means that most can be got in the uk.

The hard part is getting the shocks out, I'd to jump on the disc as a friend went at the wishbone with a pry-bar to pull it down & pull the shock out...

Mine are Tein S-Tech springs, don't know anyone who has gone for Eibachs but in general they're a good spring...

I remember reading an article in a mag about how they make all the Eibachs by hand. Very good quality stuff. You should do some before and after pics
