I know fuel has been a big issue.
Mine are in the pipe line but to keep cost down not moaning, what material is best to make them from,
Those camber ones look to dodgy for my liking

Yea, I have to agree with you, the camber ones are a definite no go. Its not that i dont trust them....its just the car will be a pain in the arse to drive on the road

I dunno mate, some machine them from ally, I know FIGS uses steel but he takes away a fair bit of material so that makes me think that steel is not really needed.

Find out whats cheaper I guess and go from there. My suggestion if I may, is to incorporate an RCA spacer into the knuckle.

Any of you guys know the taper angle that you need to have for the tie rod ends to fit into the steering knuckles?

the thickness of the drawing cross section says 17. the top hole 15.5 and botom hole of 13.6 spaced 17 apart give a taper angle of 3.2 degrees.

Forget the RCA, stick rose joint track rod ends on and lower the track rod end that way u keep camber :)

But the idea with tie rod ends is good, as it will drop it and give you a bit more lock as it wont the hitting the lower arm anymore. The limitation will then be the knuckle itself hitting the lower arm

ill cut a tie rod end off of one of the cars over the weekend and throw it up on the scope here at work and get an exact angle of it and alter the drawing if needs be :)

Just wondering if u guys went ahead with the 2d cad dog solution and if u got them made?

I'm looking at lock possibilities at the moment and stumbled across this jzx link (but they do them for the Altezza as well)
http://csgarage.wordpress.com/2010/08/2 ... -knuckles/

450nzd is about £250 I think?

Yea, we got them made. I tried them but found that it actually reduced lock due to my suspension setup. So this is whats going on my car next.

Has anyone used rack spacers on a Tez with any luck?

sure. each kit includes a pair of 5mm spacers. that gives you extra steering angle and doesnt cause damage to the steering rack. You shoudn't take spacers bigger than 5mm, otherwise your rack will be damaged.
