I had a few ikes when i was younger biggest i had was a 125 Now i'm 25 with only the full car licence how would i go about getting a bike licence. Also what bike would you suggest to look at, I have been told a 250 is a good start point. That a CBR or something along those lines is a good bike to go with

things have changed since i got my license but i think in your case it would be like starting off again. i think u have to have provisional A1 license for 2 years, do your test for full a1 license within that time. then i think u apply for provisional A license then a full A license. maybe now you're over 25 u need only to do 1 test. bike wise, yeah a cbr250 would be a good starter if you're into the full fairing type. if ur looking at more of a standard road bike, a bandit600 would be worth looking at. or if u were going for a cruiser style u could go bigger again. if i was in your shoes i'd probably go for a bandit as it's a good all rounder. although the cbr250 would be more fun when u rev the sh*te out of it. as for the cruisers, u can insure a lot of the big cc ones on a provisional licence as most of them wouldn't pull the skin off a sausage.

have this on the road at the minute got insurance with quinn its a restricted rvf400 i have my full bike licence two months have to have it two years before the restricter can come off but lots dont bother with restricting 400s as they aint alot over the allowed power good starting bikes to be honest, i have being riding bikes since i could walk (motocross) but they are so addictive its unreal hard to get back into the car on a hot day after a good spin, BUT WILL STRESS THIS, THEY ARE LEATHAL always be prepared to crash as its gonna happen sooner or later and whats worse probably wont be your fault anyway, but worth the risk in my opinion keep us posted on what bike ya go for happy biking

What are the 250's like ? the 400's give lot's of trouble especially carb problems which are supposed to be very hard to sort. i think the 250's don't suffer the same problems but the 600's are supposed to be the best of them. if you're going for the 250 you'll probably get fed up with the lack of power fairly quickly.

I have been looking on line the last few days and theres nothing really jumping out at min,
I only want the bike for short runs i think 250 would be as big as i would go, I'd get wasted on a 600 if i'm honest. i'm sure insurance would be alot more aswell . .
