Whilst an insurance subject is out, I'll add, anyone can insure an Toyota Altezza. it;s down as the book as an Altezza, there is no RS200 / Z, AS200 listed, be it in the book, or insurers (quinn to be exact) at all.

I rang my insurance and verified what I had insured, as I did it online a few month back. Gave them the reg, they said a "toyota altezza 2 liter 4 door petrol saloon".,and correct me if im wrong, im correct.

So as far as im aware, im insured as ive told no lies and have not said any lies to what questions they've asked.

but on the weird side, i dont understand how people can be refused on them as i;ve read the story's on here about them not quoting them for some weird and wonderful reason, as between my ages of 24/26 ive had x2 s14a silvias, x1 imprezza wrx sti and an 85 ae86. all japanese imports, all no problems insured. a queer world we live in when it comes to insurance.

Quinn wont quote me on a DC2 or a EK9 till I'm 30 with full NCB  . . They will give me a quote on r33 and r34's and EVO's Insurance in Ireland is a joke  . When I was looking at Glanzas back 6years ago NO ONE would quote me because I wanted it insured right, had no problems getting insurance on a LEVIN, but it cost me a fortune when I think about it to what I'm paying now on the tezz

My advice is leave the RS engine were it is, unless your going to do it right and insure it right forget about it. Give it a year and then try get a tezz  The way things are going the gardai are well on the ball at this stage to what engines go in what cars and what cars have turbos.
