from what i gathered over time is that some did and some didnt i think the auto ones came with only a standard open diff un less it was an optional extra
and then the majority of manuals came with an lsd
im sure someone will be able to tell you for sure

If your tezz has an LSD the chassis code in the engine bay ends with a Z. I dont think the autos had an LSD.

Is that what you wanted to know ?

Have a look on the chassis plate for the diff code. This will tell you what it came with from the factory.
There'll be a code like A01A, A01B, A02A, A02B 'B' denotes LSD. Email Nick or myself to check the ratio in Microcat EPC

So you have a "Z Edition" then. If it's manual then it would have come from factory fitted with a torsen LSD. They were optional on everything else. If you look at the chassis tag you'll find the axle code

Bumpsteak.

What size is the ring gear in the a series diff? 8"? 7.5?

pointless in looking at the chassy number. the diff thats in the car doesnt necessarily have to match what the code says. there is only one way in knowing what a diff is and thats by taking it out and opening it up .
